Who uses it
Accountants and owners filing VAT.
Prerequisites
- •Posted invoices and purchases with correct VAT categories
Step by step
- 1Open Reports → VAT (or the Tax & e-invoicing center).
- 2Select the tax period.
- 3Review output VAT, input VAT and the net position.
- 4Reconcile to the VAT control accounts in the trial balance before filing.
Key fields
| Output VAT | Tax charged on sales. |
| Input VAT | Recoverable tax on purchases. |
| Net position | Payable to or refundable from the authority. |
Practical example
Output 50 − input 25 = 25 AED net payable for the period.
Accounting impact
The report aggregates the VAT control-account movements from every document.
VAT impact
This is the filing-support report; it should tie exactly to the control accounts.
E-invoice impact
The same VAT categories drive the UAE e-invoice tax breakdown.
Warnings
