Purpose

Produce the VAT summary (output, input and net) that supports the UAE VAT return.

Accountants and owners filing VAT.

Prerequisites

  • Posted invoices and purchases with correct VAT categories

Step by step

  1. 1Open Reports → VAT (or the Tax & e-invoicing center).
  2. 2Select the tax period.
  3. 3Review output VAT, input VAT and the net position.
  4. 4Reconcile to the VAT control accounts in the trial balance before filing.

Key fields

Output VATTax charged on sales.
Input VATRecoverable tax on purchases.
Net positionPayable to or refundable from the authority.

Practical example

Output 50 − input 25 = 25 AED net payable for the period.
Accounting impact
The report aggregates the VAT control-account movements from every document.
VAT impact
This is the filing-support report; it should tie exactly to the control accounts.
E-invoice impact
The same VAT categories drive the UAE e-invoice tax breakdown.
