Purpose
View auto-generated entries from documents and post manual entries directly to the general ledger.
Who uses it
Accountants.
Prerequisites
- •A balanced set of debits and credits
Step by step
- 1Open Accounting → Journal Entries.
- 2Review entries auto-created by invoices, receipts and payments.
- 3For a manual entry, add lines with account, debit or credit and a description.
- 4Ensure total debits equal total credits, then post.
Key fields
| Debit / Credit | Each line increases one side; totals must match. |
| Source | Links the entry to its originating document. |
Practical example
The demo shows JE-…-00003 "Receipt from Gulf Trading" and total debits equal credits at 2,762.5.
Accounting impact
This is the general ledger itself — the source of the trial balance and financial statements.
VAT impact
Document-generated entries carry the VAT control postings.
