Period locking
Purpose
Prevent changes to a closed accounting period after it has been reviewed or filed.
Who uses it
Accountants and administrators.
Step by step
- 1Open Settings → Period Lock.
- 2Set the lock date.
- 3Postings on or before that date are blocked.

Protects reported figures and the VAT return from retroactive edits.
Warnings
- •Unlocking to fix a filed period can change already-reported numbers.
