Items & services
Purpose
Create the products and services sold and purchased, with pricing, unit and inventory settings.
Who uses it
Accountants and inventory staff.
Step by step
- 1Open Inventory → Items → New.
- 2Enter code, name (EN/AR), unit of measure, cost and selling price.
- 3For stocked goods set the opening stock and reorder level; for services mark as non-stock.
- 4Save.
Key fields

| Cost / Selling price | Defaults used on purchase and sales lines. |
| Opening stock | Initial quantity for goods. |
Practical example
Create "Consulting service" at 100 AED selling price, used on the sales invoice.
Accounting impact
Goods link to inventory and cost of sales; services post directly to revenue/expense.
VAT impact
Default VAT category can be set per item to speed correct tax on documents.
